Digital Memorials allow friends and family from all over to participate in the celebration of a loved one’s life. Memorials are fully customizable, but often feature: Welcoming Remarks Eulogies Readings / Hymns / Poems Photos + Videos Open mic for memory sharing Toast Closing Any number of people can join or participate in a Digital Memorial Service. Our team will make sure that the experience runs smoothly for speakers and guests, including communication beforehand about how to join. The service can be streamed to anyone with the link (which is password protected) and is available afterwards for those to stream at any time.

At Lighten, our goal is to ensure that everyone is able to participate in the experience — whether they want to contribute to the program or hear from others. Everyone will be invited to share photos, videos, and memories of your loved one. Our team will work with you to plan the Memorial Service, including any speakers, readings and eulogies.

We are here to help you create a meaningful celebration of life. You will have a dedicated Lighten team member to help with every step – from logistics (like communication to guests) to program planning.

Planning begins with a one-on-one conversation with a dedicated Lighten team member. After an initial conversation, we will be able to set-up a Memorial Page within a day. Digital Memorial Services can be arranged within one-two weeks.

Once the stay-at-home orders are lifted and it is safe to gather in person again, Lighten can also arrange in-person events.
