Life Story
Bourgogne was born a genuine and kind soul—smart, passionate, and caring. From a young age, she demonstrated an unwavering determination to forge her own path. She attended college at 17, later returning to school to graduate from law school at 35. With fierce ambition, she founded her own law firm right after graduation, taking immense pride in her work. She believed that true relationships are built on consideration and care, principles she carried into both her professional and personal life.

Bourgogne had an innate ability to show up for those she loved. Whether it was helping you set up for an event, thoughtfully picking out the perfect gift, or congratulating you when you least expected it, she was the person who made you feel seen and appreciated. As a mother, Bourgogne poured her heart into raising her beloved daughter, Zoe, and cherished every moment they spent together. She was deeply passionate about her hobbies, often speaking of them with great joy.

A true optimist, Bourgogne faced serious health challenges throughout her life. Yet, despite the struggles, she always saw the glass as half full, grateful for every opportunity to live life to its fullest. She never complained, instead embracing the mindset of "Why not me?" rather than "Why me?" Always one to take the extra mile or the road less traveled, she met life with strength and grace.

Bourgogne is survived by her cherished daughter, Zoe, and her devoted mother, Cheryl Chalmers. She leaves behind her loving brother, Leroy Chalmers, as well as her dear niece and nephew, Ethan and Samantha Chalmers. Bourgogne’s warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by her wide circle of family, friends, and clients, all of whom were fortunate to know her.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leroy Chalmers Sr.

Bourgogne’s vivacious spirit, radiant joy, and unyielding love for life will be forever remembered. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
