James Swenson
Life Story
With sadness and love, the family of James (Jim) Swenson, 85, announces his passing on 10-27-2022 at his home in Jacksonville, Florida.
​
Jim was raised and lived many years in Waltham, Massachusetts, where he attended school and went on to join the Navy. He was stationed in Hawaii and aboard the USS Lexington.
As a machinist and welder, he was soon employed by Polaroid Corporation for many years until his retirement.
He was a true artisan. With his wife, he built a vacation log cabin in a lake community in New Hampshire, where they spent many wonderful years enjoying time with family and friends until their eventual move to Florida.
Jim is predeceased by his parents, Gosta and Agnes. He is survived by his wife Loretta, step daughter Linda Drummond (Joe), sister Mary Bonilla, granddaughter Jessica Kendrick, 2 great grandchildren, and several much loved nieces and nephews.
